How I Learned He Wasn't Real

This was an illustration for an urban legend I've heard. To summerize: A child's father does not come come home for Christmas one year. The family searches and searches but he is nowhere to be found. After days pass, a smell gets worse and worse, and eventually the father is found in the chimney dressed up like Santa. He had wanted to make it a good Christmas and pretend to be Santa, but he got stuck and died. I know the hand isn't great in this drawing, but other than that I was pretty proud. The mediums were charcoal, pen & ink, and milk pen. Like most of my works, this was largely inspired by Stephen Gammell.
